The Worst Mistake You Can Make When Doing An Intuitive Reading (And How To Fix It)
The worst mistake you can make when you are doing an intuitive reading (and how to correct that mistake)
This intuitive reading could be for yourself, it could be for others, or it could be any sort of reading that you’re doing using your intuition. We’re focusing on what can take a clear reading and completely make it go astray. When you’re doing or reading it is so important for you to be rooted in love to be rooted in a very clear intention if your intention is unclear. That’s definitely going to skew your reading but something that happens very often with with readers is that they sit down to do a reading and instead of focusing on what that person NEEDS to hear – their focus on what that person WANTS to hear. It’s a HUGE mistake when you focus on your clients “wants” you are making a HUGE mistake because you will get inaccurate results – you will feel inauthentic and not good while you do your reading. Focusing on their “wants” is going to make you more nervous and it’s going to put the power that belongs in YOUR hands into theirs. One of the things I talk about in my 8 week online course “Intuition Mastery” is how important it is to set a very clear intention. You need learn how to focus on the question “what does this person NEED to hear”.
It sounds like a simple shift but there’s actually a very big difference.
If you are always focused on what that person WANTS to hear – you’re going to read something completely different than what they NEED to hear. We’re here to serve. Serving our clients and focusing on what that person NEEDS to hear is not always going to be the most pleasant of conversations. Sometimes it involves spitting some truth. It involves being very honest. If you’re in the middle of helping a client connect to their spirit guides, angels or deceased loved ones and they need to give crucial information to your client BUT INSTEAD you have the intention of telling them what they WANT to hear… you’re not going to be able to tune into that information because all of your energy is focused on what the client WANTS to hear. So whenever I sit down to do my weekly angel readings, a sixth sense assessment or coaching calls – my intention rests firmly on “what does this person need to hear”. It’s not my business whether you like me or not… It’s not even my business whether you like the reading or not!
My job is simply to serve you and help you align with your highest path.
So whenever I do a reading, I practice this… – “Let Go…” – “Let God / Source / Creator guide the reading however it needs to go.” It involves saying, “This part of your life needs work and I’ve seen that you keep doing the same thing over and over again.” Sometimes you know this person is hurting themselves using drugs, alcohol or in other ways and you have to address that because THAT is the message that’s being shown. If I’m focused on what that person WANTS to hear (instead of what they NEED to hear) and I ignore the messages coming through, I am dis-serving the client. Some people struggle with surrendering. This is a really big mistake that needs to be corrected. The more you learn to surrender – the more open you are to the different messages that will come through. Your readings will get more accurate and you’ll be able to cover broader subjects that extend far beyond what you think you’re going to be reading for that person. When you completely open up and let those messages come through you’re basically forcing your ego to take a back seat. DO NOT:
- Focus on being right and being accurate.
- Focus on pleasing that other person
- Focus on anything to do with yourself
People pleasing makes it all about YOU and when you’re doing a reading – it’s completely about serving. You will receive healing energy in return and you’ll also serve yourself while you are doing the reading for that person – however, you have to set that aside and remember it’s NOT about you. So whenever you do a reading for yourself or for others, ask yourself “What does this person need to hear” and when you’re doing a reading for yourself, try your best to be objective and if you have to – pretend you’re reading for somebody else.
Remember to ask yourself “What do I NEED to know”.
When you do that, you’ll notice bigger messages coming through. Messages that help you break out of your comfort zone and actually do some some serious growing. It’s when we’re willing to not be liked… When we’re willing to say our piece… When we’re willing to be authentic… When we’re willing to serve as source wants us to serve… That we TRULY extend beyond our comfort zone and really grow in new directions.
If you stay in your comfort zone during your readings – you’re going to attract a new client or a person who’s also not interested in growing.
That’s not usually a fun client to work with. You can serve whoever you want to serve but I’m telling you from experience what this feels like and the answer is ALWAYS to root yourself very firmly and ask “What is it that this person needs to know”. Now… WHO you’re connecting to, and HOW you’re connecting to that being lies in your sixth sense (and that’s what we would talk about during a private Sixth Sense Assessment together). Everybody has a different place that they connect to and this point of reference will greatly affect the tone of the reading. For example – your readings style, the energy of the session and the overall tone of each reading will be very different based on what source you’re connecting with, such as:
- the “elementals”
- the “angelic realm”
- the “Akashic Records”
- “medical intuition”
Always know WHO you’re speaking with during you’re doing your readings.
If you really want to learn how to do intuitice readings PLUS discover your unique Sixth Sense then a “Sixth Sense Assessment” is definitely for you. To schedule a private one-on-one session with me please visit: http://bit.ly/2khlYST Remember…
The biggest mistake you can make when doing an intuitive reading is worrying about whether you’re actually right because that focuses your energy on fear and the ego which can block your intuitive abilities in a negative way.
So make sure you’re asking source or whomever you are connecting to “What does this person need to know now” to align them with their highest path and then surrender and let it flow. So if you’re not getting clarity with your intuitive readings, make sure to stop worrying about if you’re right or wrong. It’s a simple shift. And it can be scarier because you’re no longer people pleasing, but it is an important thing to be able to do. Also, for those of you reading this – if you haven’t taken my free 5 day “Awaken Your Intuition” course you can sign up at: https://intuitionmastery.co/awaken-your-intuition-course/ This course will help you learn how to read accurately for yourself – something that I’ve found to be so difficult when first starting out. A lot of the time it’s actually easier to read for other people because you’re not emotionally connected to them. I know that there are other Empaths who feel the same way. In this free course, I’ve included some really great exercises that will help you strengthen your intuitive reading game and and help you disconnect from your emotions from actually getting the answers to big questions that you have. Just visit: https://intuitionmastery.co/awaken-your-intuition-course/ to sign up for free and you can get started within the next few minutes! Thank you for reading!
